Website Updates & Support 

Depending on your website, you have several different ways to update your website's content. Some of our clients prefer to have us do updates at our hourly rate while other clients like the freedom to make changes themselves. Prior to building your site, Able Engine will work with you to determine what type of site suits your needs.

Most of our sites are built with a content management system (CMS). A CMS allows our clients to make quick, real-time updates with an easy-to-use administrative console built right into the website. We provide on-site training prior to or right after site launch. Of course, you can always choose to have us update the site at our regular hourly rate. A CMS usually results in faster site updates, which saves you money.

If you want to perform your own site updates for a static HTML site, we can recommend appropriate HTML editing software, photo editing software, and FTP programs (for moving website files to and from your computer and the server). Although Able Engine does not resell HTML editing and photo editing software, we can recommend products that will accomodate your knowledge and comfort level. We do provide on-site training to show you around the software, give you our best practices advice, and answer any of your questions. We also provide technical support if you run across problems while updating your site.

If you choose to have us perform your site updates, we recommend that you compile your updates into an email and send them to us. You can copy and paste content from your site and edit it right there in your email or Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) document. We perform update requests according to date of receipt and urgency as well as workload and employee availability. We can perform most requests within a 48 to 72 hour time frame from the date of receipt.
